Overview: Nokia Lumia 925 for T-Cellular

Nokia's Lumia 925 represents the current pinnacle of hardware design for Windows Phone, but it still doesn't get every feature right. See where the 925 shines and where it doesn't in Phone Scoop's full review.

Is It Your Type

The Lumia 925 is the top-of-the-line Windows Phone available from T-Mobile. It takes Nokia's design language to a new level, and is stuffed with custom Nokia-made software. If you're looking for a solid Windows Phone, the Lumia 925 has plenty to offer.

Assessment: Nokia Lumia 1520 for AT&T

The front is nearly all glass. There's just a thin bezel where the glass meets the side edges as they curve away. The transition from the screen to the sides is smooth; there's no hard edge. When the display is off, the only thing visible in the jet-black glass is the slit for the earpiece. The Nokia logo vanishes, and the three capacitive buttons are invisible unless the screen is lit up. Again, the design emphasis is on simplicity.

Microsoft Acquires Pen Technological innovation From N-Trig Ltd

In a move that has long been rumoured, Microsoft has announced today on the Surface Blog that they have acquired the digital pen technology from N-Trig Ltd. This is the pen technology that they have employed in the Surface Pro 3, and now the Surface 3.

With Windows 10, pen input is getting even more useful, so this move makes a lot of sense.

One of the nice parts about the N-Trig technology is that the entire product stack required is much thinner, and there is no need for a deep level digitizer under the display, so the pen feels more like it is writing directly on the display.

Call Quality/Network

No problems whatsoever with texting or calling, I always seem to have a signal and 3G service that isn't drastically slow. The 3G is fine, but I'm still excited for 4GLTE coming to my city this year. The call quality was great, there's a feature that amplifies the voice volume. Other people were clear to me, and I was clear to them. No issues.

Memory

You get approximately 11GB usable internal memory out of the 16GB capacity. Fine with me. Evo only gave me 1GB usable space out of the 4GB capacity.

OS

Win Jr LTE -Grey

This is my first Windows Phone, and I wasn't prepared for what I discovered - this device, despite relatively small storage memory and RAM, runs really smoothly, and provides a nice phone and computing experience.

First off, I am not a professional reviewer, nor am I employed or compensated by Samsung or any other company. Instead of boring you with facts - which you can find anywhere on the Net - I will just give you some real-world impressions on how it looks, feels, and runs. With that out of the way, let's get to the point and the nitty gritty, shall we?
