The specific production flow of fused cast azs block is as below:
1. Proportion the raw material
Pre-treat the raw material of oxidized aluminum powder, zircon sand and zirconium and other raw materials, proportion them with computer according to different type of fused cast azs block.
2. Melting in electronic furnace
According to the requirements of production plan, put the proportioned raw materials into a special electric arc furnace and melt under optimum conditions and moderate temperature, as low temperature is easy to lead to uneven fused cast azs block, form a porous body and cracks, and increase shrinkage accordingly.
3. Casting in the mold
Injecting the molten materials into the product mold which is specially designed. When using properly superheated melt casting, shrinkage hole of fused cast azs block is concentrated, thickness of the dense region increases and density of the whole product increases. However, if the degree of overheating is too high, although the melt density has increased, but it is easy to make fused cast azs block forming cracks and big shrinkage hole.
4. Cooling

Generally, insulation box filled with diatomite is used to anneal the blocks with mold or resistance furnace which can adjust temperature is used to anneal. The initial temperature and heat insulation have obvious effect on annealing effect.
5. Surface machining
Examine the defects on surface, brick size, accuracy of every fused cast azs block, then make high precision grinding according to customer’s requirement to ensure the accuracy of its size. Mechanical machining is the means to improve the quality of fused cast azs block and prolong its service life.
6. Inspection
Every fused cast azs block need to be in qualified inspection carefully, such as the dimension and shrinkage according to contract standard. Advanced analytical instrument and inspection equipment are used to inspect fused cast azs block, such as Shimadzu Sequential X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometer Lab CenterXRF-1800 and Ultrasonic Internal Structure Detector.
