Linear change on reheating means that the size of refractory products is irreversible changed when the refractory products are heated to high temperature. A positive value indicates expansion which is called expansion of linear change on reheating; negative value indicates contraction which is called contraction of linear change on reheating.
Metal as a group of elements is applied in the refractory, besides the effect of reinforcing and toughening matrix material, and it has the effect of plastic molding, promoting the sintering and oxidation resistance.
Plastic molding: Metal in the stress of the lattice will be a slip which has the plastic molding, so putting the metal into refractory will make the higher density product than that without adding metal samples under the same forming pressure.
As to the melting part of bottle furnace, the required refractory bricks shall be strictly selected.
1. Arch of furnace (crown): work temperature is 1500~1600℃, contact with high temperature alkali vapor directly, The selection of refractory bricks should use high quality silica bricks.
2. Contact area of the flow in the vault: containing arch brick, breast wall brick, back wall brick, tuck stone brick and nozzle brick whose working temperature is 1500~1600℃, and fused cast AZS block is mainly used.
According to current national standards, the style of refractory brick can be classified into standard shaped brick, normal shaped brick, abnormal shaped brick and special shaped brick.
1. Standard shaped brick: usually the straight brick with the shape size of 230mm x 114mm x 65mm is called standard shaped brick.
The selection of process flow of light weight fire clay bricks mainly depends on the quality of the raw material and the quality of the product. The main process is to form high quality clay mud into the mud which can effectively improve the material formability and physical properties of fire clay bricks. The process flow of fire clay bricks is as below:
corundum block is a refractory product made of corundum based crystalline phase in which the alumina content is more than 90%. Corundum block can be divided into two kinds which are sintered corundum brick and fused corundum brick. They are made by sintering alumina and fused corundum as raw materials or combining Al2O3 / SiO2 bauxite clinker and with sintered alumina, then produced by sintering method.
zircon brick is a refractory brick which is made of natural zircon sand. Zircon brick is made through sintering by single zircon, and zircon brick can as well be made by adding proper sintering agent into zircon which is as the main raw material. Zircon brick belongs to acid refractory with the properties of strong resistance to slag, lower thermal expansion ratio which will decrease with the temperature increase, high refractoriness under load, high wear resistance and good thermal shock resistance.
Everybody is not strange to electric melting block, however, as to its different clarification, some people can't tell the difference between them. Today we will mainly distinct two kinds of electric melting blocks which are fused cast AZS block and fused cast alumina block.
1. Fused cast AZS block
magnesia chrome bricks are widely used in industry due to its excellent properties of heat and pressure resistance. There are many kinds of magnesia chrome bricks, according to different requirements of products, magnesia chrome bricks mainly have three types:
1. Sintered magnesia chrome bricks
Generally, industrial zircon sand is grains of sand shape whose grain size is about 0.1 ~ 0.2mm, and it can’t be used to produce refractory brick directly. In
order to adjust the grain’s composition of refractory bricks and reduce the sintering shrinkage, two stage production method is usually adopted which is by
making zircon sand and fine powder into clumps in advance, then calcining under the decomposition temperature of zircon brick, and then crushing the
