Nasa and SpaceX have Fifa 14 Ultimate Team Coins announced that Elon Musk's company isscheduled to fly its first commercial resupply mission to theInternational Space Station on 7 October. SpaceX successfullycompleted the demonstration flight of Nasa's Commercial OrbitalTransportation System back in May, which did include delivering some non-essentialcargo. Elon Musk also sent out a video over the weekendshowing the first (very short) flight of the company's verticaltake-off and landing system it plans to use on future rockets.
SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft will again launch from Cape Canaveralin Florida and will carry about 450 kilograms of supplies,including materials for 63 new scientific investigations, accordingto Nasa. The Commercial Resupply Services flight is being calledCRS-1 and includes flying more than 317 kilograms of scientificmaterials and 226 kilograms of station hardware. With theretirement of the space shuttle orbiters, the Dragon capsule is theonly vehicle capable of bringing back large amounts of cargo. TheSoyuz spacecraft can return to Earth with three passengers, but haslimited cargo space. Other cargo resupply vehicles are designed toburn up during re-entry.
