Japanese electronics giant FIFA 15 Ultimate Team Coins is not going to renew its current sponsorship deal with Fifa, according to reports.
Sony is approaching the end of its eight year contract, worth a reported £178.7m, with football's governing body, and has apparently decided not to renew it, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters.
Sony needs to concentrate its efforts on returning the company to a profitable state, said the report.
The PlayStation manufacturer has said that it is specifically looking to restructure its television and mobile divisions.
Fifa's has come under pressure from its sponsors over alleged corruption and the accepting of bribes in return for awarding the next two World Cups to Russian and Qatar respectively.
At the beginning of November Emirates Airlines decided that it would not renew its sponsorship affiliation with Fifa.
Coca Cola, Fifa's top sponsor with a financial backing of more than £300m, became the first corporation to attack Fifa's bosses over its "disappointing" reaction to an internal investigation into corruption earlier this year.
