Kutcher does a respectable job of Fifa 14 Ultimate Team Coins channeling the former AppleCEO, particularly as the late '90s, return to Apple-era Jobs; theraging, employee-firing Jobs; and the confident, charismatic Jobspersona we encountered at Apple media events. Kutcher's portrayalof the younger, collegiate Jobs felt less sincere than olderversions, however, perhaps because there was less video footage toemulate.
The character of Jobs evolves through the film fromoverconfident, emotional, and self-serving in his younger days to amore grounded, family-focused, and business-savvy adult, thoughsome of the things we see Jobs do in the process are abhorrent andshocking, like kicking out his girlfriend after she reveals she'spregnant and firing an employee on the spot in a storm of rage. There are more human moments as well, like his emotional breakdownafter being removed from Apple's leadership team, or havingbreakfast with his family in the days before NeXT was folded intoApple. Still, rather than empathise with Jobs, I felt more like anoutsider, simply watching the film run down a extensive checklistof important biographical events.
