Spain coach Vicente del Bosque insists his side's focus is solely on tomorrow's potentially tricky World Cup qualifying trip to Belarus and not on next week's mouth-watering showdown with France.

Spain, the reigning world and European champions, host 2006 World Cup runners-up France in Madrid on Tuesday in a clash which could go a long way to deciding which of the two superpowers finishes top of Group I.

That match is understandably looming large for both nations, but Del Bosque is refusing to take his eye off tomorrow's game with Belarus where the Spanish will be looking to add to their opening victory over Georgia and move level on six points with France at the top of the group.

Asked if he would be selecting a different XI to the one that will face the French, Del Bosque said at today's pre-match press conference: ``Now we are only concerned about tomorrow's match.

``Our efforts are focused on the game against Belarus, which is the most important thing right now. We will play with those players who we think are the best.

``We know these are two difficult games which will help define our World Cup qualifying campaign, so we will have our maximum attention on them.''

Belarus have lost both of their qualifiers to date, going down 3-1 to France and 1-0 to Georgia, but both of those fixtures were away from home and tomorrow's clash is at the Dynamo Stadion in Minsk - a venue that has already seen a shock upset this month.

On the same ground last week Belorussian champions BATE Borisov claimed one of the biggest scalps in their history when they beat German giants Bayern Munich 3-1 in the Champions League, and a number of those BATE players could be involved tomorrow night.

Del Bosque said: ``We don't know who will win and we know that there are no guarantees in sport, all you have to do is ask Bayern Munich, who lost in this same stadium.

``We are facing a good team and we have to prepare to fight against them, knowing they will be a difficult opponent.''

On the possibility of Belarus playing the same way as BATE, Del Bosque said: ``We've seen the last three games that Belarus have played, we've also paid attention to the Under-21 side that played in the European Championship and there are nine players from BATE Borisov so we've seen the game they played against Bayern.

``(But) we don't know exactly how they will play. They played different against Georgia than they did against France.''

Del Bosque will be without first-choice central defensive pairing Carles Puyol and Gerard Pique because of injuries while Belarus coach Georgi Kondratiev is missing striker Leonid Kovel, who picked up an injury playing for FC Minsk at the weekend.
